Instructions:
For the Hot Honey Sauce:
In a small saucepan, combine the honey, hot sauce, unsalted butter, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and salt.
Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the butter is melted and the sauce is smooth. Remove from heat and set aside.
For the Wings:
1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels, then season them with salt and pepper.
3. In a large bowl, toss the seasoned chicken wings with vegetable oil until evenly coated.
Arrange the wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
4. Bake the wings in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until crispy and cooked through, flipping halfway through the cooking time.
5. Once the wings are cooked, transfer them to a large mixing bowl.
6. Pour the hot honey sauce over the wings and toss until they are evenly coated.
For Serving (Optional):
7. Transfer the hot honey wings to a serving platter.
Garnish with fresh chopped cilantro or parsley, if desired.
8. Serve the wings hot with lime wedges on the side for squeezing over the wings.
